Deb's Biography:

My love for horses started at age 6 with my first pony, Folly. I have been around and involved with horse communities ever since. I showed Hunt Seat Equitation, also Hunters and Jumpers. Jumpers was the most rewarding for me.

As a 15 year old I even jumped a car --- on a wonderful jumper "Spook".

I trained with Doug Merrifield, Hugh Kerrigan and have ridden in Clinics and lessons with various other knowledgeable trainers. I've run lesson programs for River Farms, Topper Farms and taught at Farmington Polo Club, River's Edge and Quarrytown Stables.

I've worked with my daughter Katie and her very cute Buckskin TB/QH cross, Spiderman. She placed in the top 10 in Children's Equitation Division in 2001. She won 3 state divisional championships in 2003 and was regional champion in 5 Divisions and placed in the top ten at the World Show in Missouri in 2004.

I have served on the CHJA Board of Directors and am currently serving on the CHSA Board of Directors as third Vice President & Banquet Chair. I'm also very excited to be working on the CHSA Finals held in August. My history with horse shows includes managing, local judging, course designer and secretary.

I live with my husband of twenty seven years, Dan and our daughter Katie who graduated University of Vermont (UVM).

Bouncing Pony Farm was established in 2006. Although the location has changed, we still offer personalized service in lessons, leasing and boarding. We are family friendly as well as an active show stable. The large indoor arena with a heated viewing lounge for parents and siblings is attached to our main barn - we offer several outdoor rings including one dedicated to jumping. Our students are encouraged to take their horses outside of the rings and ride the trails for an extended learning experience.
