WEEKLY DAY CAMP
Beginner - Intermediate Skill levels Ages 7- 13
Starting:
Session 1. July 6th
Session 2. July 13th
Session 3. July 20th
Session 4. July 27th
9:00am to 12:30 pm Monday - Friday
Cost per session is $335.00 per week (sibling & multi week discount available)
Price includes daily snacks & drinks (Ice Cream on Fridays)
A deposit of $100.00 holds your child's spot. (extended day available for additional cost)
What we do . . .in a week
Hands on: We learn the parts of a horse (we have a very unique way of doing this), groom the horses (including bathing & clipping) learn names of all the grooming supplies.
Interact with the horses by leading them, lounging them and riding them. We ride bareback too (as experience allows). We load a horse on a trailer.
Classroom: We learn about barn & horse handling safety, parts of saddles & bridles along with general knowledge of horse care (first aid, bandaging legs & feeding). We look at various colors, breeds & explore the different disciplines in riding. Because there are over 40 horses on the property along with young babies, children can see the wide range of horse types. When possible students will also observe a blacksmith, massage therapists (for the horses) and Veterinarian at work. We'll watch some film on our Olympic Riders.
We ride in the rain (in our 80'X200') Indoor arena or shine in one of our 3 outside rings
We complete a weekly craft and play games. Each week your child will come home with a folder of knowledge.
